 Hi students,

This week you have 2 options for your blog post. You can either write about your best holidays or the best concert you've ever been to.

Holidays

  • where you went
  • how long it was
  • people you went with
  • things/activities you did
  • why it has been the best so far
  • any other relevant info
Or

Concert
  • when / where it was
  • the artist you saw
  • a bit of info about the artist
  • describe the atmosphere during the event
  • describe how you felt and why you  enjoyed it
  • any other memories about it
Include photos if you can.
word count: 170 words

Post a question in the comments section of 3 of your classmates posts and on your teacher's post. Remember to go back to your blog and reply to the questions.

Below is my example.

The summer between my third and fourth year at university I decided to apply for a job in a hotel in Maine. I didn't get the job and dreaded the idea of working my regular summer jobs and living with my parents. But what happened in the end changed my life forever. In fact, I don't think I would be here right now if I had not traveled to Europe that summer. The only way it was possible was because my brother had a job as a flight attendant. Before that I had never really considered the idea of travelling because it was way too expensive.

I flew with my parents to Spain and spent 2 weeks with them near Malaga. My parents went back to the USA and I spent another 6 weeks travelling through Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Before the trip I had done some research about travelling in Europe on a budget. I stayed in cheap youth hostels and traveled by train mostly. I was travelling alone, but was never lonely because I met so many people and had so much fun. I even ran into a friend of mine from my university. That trip changed my life completely because I learned how to travel, be spontaneous, and be open to meeting people.

    1. As I mentioned in my post, I recommend traveling alone. In Europe this is very easy because of public transport. I also stayed in hostels where it was easy to meet other young people.

    1. Of course, it is the opposite of here. So when Chile is in winter, it's summer there. Northern Europe tends to be colder than southern Europe.
